Refund policy

If you wish to return a product for a refund or to exchange for another item, the following procedure must be followed. Our policy is designed to comply with your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Return Windows

• Change of Mind / Standard Returns: You must notify us of your intent to return or exchange an item within 14 days of receiving your order. Once you have notified us, you have a further 14 days to return the goods to us.
• Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items: You have a 30-day window from the date of receipt to return faulty or incorrect goods for a full refund or replacement.

Condition of Items

For standard returns and exchanges, items must be new, unused, and still in the original packaging. We do not charge any restocking fees for returned items.

Return Procedure

You must e-mail Met Construction Fixings to request a Product Return Form (PRF). Please provide the following details:

• Order Number (Provided at time of purchase and in your confirmation e-mail)
• Full Name
• Contact e-mail and Phone Number
• Address
• Reason for Request (Refund, Exchange, Damaged, Defective or Incorrect)
• Details of Request (e.g., if an exchange, what item is required)

We aim to e-mail you the PRF within 24hrs of your request (working days only). Do not return an item until you have been issued a PRF.

You must clearly mark the PRF number on the outside of any boxes or packaging used to return the goods. NB: Do not mark the actual product, containers, or original packaging.

Return Shipping

You must return the goods via recorded delivery (Royal Mail or a Courier Company) to:

Important: For "Change of Mind" returns or exchanges, the customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping. The goods remain your responsibility until they have arrived at our warehouse and have been signed for by a Met Construction Fixings member of staff.

Refunds and Processing

When we receive the goods, we will e-mail you confirmation within 1 working day. Once we are satisfied the goods meet our return criteria, we will authorise the refund or exchange.

• Refund Method: Refunds are issued to the original form of payment.
• Processing Time: Refunds will be processed within 7 days of our receiving your return.

Exchange

For exchange items, you will be responsible for the cost of shipping the new item to you. Any price differences will be calculated and communicated via e-mail prior to the exchange being dispatched.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or because it is damaged or defective, we will organise collection of the item at our cost. We will also refund the original delivery charges incurred. Met Construction Fixings will check all items returned as damaged; if no fault is found, we reserve the right to recover our fees and expenses from you.

Lost and Undelivered Items

You must inform us within 5 working days of the expected delivery date if you have not received your order. We will track the item and, if it cannot be traced after 7 working days, we will replace the item free of charge.

Communication

E-mail is our primary means of communication. It is your responsibility to check the e-mail address provided at the time of purchase. You are welcome to telephone us at any time.

Order cancellation

You can cancel your order yourself, as long as it hasn't been fulfilled yet.

To cancel an order:

• Log in to your account.
• Find the order you want to cancel.
• Click "Cancel order".

If the cancellation is successful, you'll receive a confirmation email and a full refund will be processed automatically.

If you don't see a cancel option on your order, it means the order has already been fulfilled and can no longer be cancelled this way. In that case, please refer to our returns process above, or contact us at sales@metconstructionfixings.com.
